OVERVIEW
University Neighborhood Partners (UNP) is pleased to provide scholarships to increase access to higher education. The mission of UNP is to bring together University of Utah and west side resources for reciprocal learning, action, and benefit….a community coming together.
Three scholarships of up to $3,000 will be awarded for the 2012-2013 academic year and may be used without restriction for educational expenses.Harold H. and Joan S. Wolf ScholarshipMeritus I Scholarship
Meritus II Scholarship
CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY
Those eligible to apply for a scholarship are high school seniors and freshmen undergraduate students. Scholarships may be used for any academic, vocational or technical program. Students are required by state law to certify that they are eligible to receive a scholarship as a U.S. citizen or a citizen of another country who is lawfully present in the U.S.
The following criteria will be used to select scholarship recipients:
§ Current and previous involvement in University Neighborhood Partners and commitment to the goals of the organization;
§ The way in which this support will help to realize potential for future success; and
§ Statement of financial need.
CONDITIONS
All scholarship recipients must agree to the following conditions:
§ Provide documentation showing acceptance to the post-secondary program of your choice.
§ Meet with UNP’s Academic Consultant each semester and provide a copy of their unofficial transcript or other documentation showing progress in selected program.
§ Actively participate in UNP Student Persistence Partnership and attend a minimum of one meeting per semester. The partnership is a student support system which acts as a liaison to help students access available institutional resources.
§ Participate in an exit interview at the end of the school year.
DEADLINE
To be considered, all applications must be received no later than Friday May 11, 2012. Application forms may be obtained at UNP, 1060 South 900 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84104 or at [要查看本链接请先注册并登录]. All applications must include required information including indicated attachments. Students wishing help or clarification in filling out the application form are advised to call the UNP office at 801-972-3596.

The announcements sent out meet one of the following criteria:
- An event /service of minimum cost or information that will promote and support diversity within Salt Lake County.
- A minimum cost event that is educational and or cultural
- An educational workshop, seminar or conference that promotes and supports diversity
- A *** sponsored program that promotes and supports diversity.
- A job announcement to reach under-represented communities
- A fundraising event sponsored by a non-profit 501 c-3 organization that provides services and information related to our office’s mission.
